Grey Wolf Environment: Were once found in large numbers throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. Grey wolves have ranged across every type of environment from North of the equator including deserts. People began to hunt them forcing them into extinction wherever they were found. Wolves today have populations in Alaska, Norther Michigan, Northern Wisconsin, Western Montana, Northern Idaho, and the Yellowstone area of Michigan. The range of the Grey Wolf covered two thirds of the United States.
